Follow these steps to help increase wholesale
- Front counter keeps a wholesale accounts logbook for daily review by the
parts manager.
- Each week, contact a minimum of 5 new accounts
- Advise each new account of your fast and friendly service
- Announce lower price strategy
- Emphasize price leaders like oil filters or spark plugs
- Send the parts driver the following day with a flyer, credit application
and specials for the month
- Front counter follows up three times a week and asks for the sale.
- Have the parts driver stop by once a week for follow up
- Develop new price leaders each month and distribute to all accounts
- Ensure that all calls are logged in the logbook along with brief sales
history.
