After years of filing repair orders in four drawer filing cabinets, the system finally became completely unmanageable. Cabinets were in several different locations, and the sequences were always out of order and always changing. Since we were in the process of constructing a new service write up area, the time seemed perfect for a new filing system.
We purchased a wall mount color file system as used in most doctors offices. We installed it right in the new write up area. The benefits were obvious immediately. Complete vehicle history is available to the service advisors instantly. The system takes up very little floor space as compared to the cabinets, and is extremely easy to operate. We now have a very accurate way of tracking repair history and menu sales.
